Yehovah 50 uses
Peh means mouth. Peh Yehovah, the mouth of the LORD, is most often translated the commandment of the LORD. Although the use of this figure of speech, condescensio, emphasizes the living nearness and absolute authority of the command as God's very own, peh is not used only of God's word given as revelation. It is commonly used of commands that have a permanent application, whether received directly from God by the spirit of whether it is received from one of God's ministers. While all peh Yehovah (the mouth of the LORD) was once revealed to some one, not all dabar are peh.
